prom was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.4 months of hard work was definately worth it.but then in the end who wld come back to thank the sec3 councillors?probably no one bahh,esp me coz i screwed the reception.butthen,i am still very very proud of ourselves!*cheers!*prom was really good this year.let's elaborate.-PREPARATIONS-
treasury encountered many many problems.and EVERYDAY for almost 4 mths, we go back to sch to settle some problems that always pop out of nowhere.my social life totally stinked.our first "prob" was when crystal came to tell us her entertainment was 2200 worth of money.of cos,at first we were unsure whether or not to gif her the money.butthen after she told us the many many professional services the 2200company cld provide,we gaf it to her!the results showed;the emcees who were worth 800(8tyms of past few years ago de) were WOW.a lot of ppl think that we were v impulsive and we later lacked of money was bcos we gaf entertainment 2200(previous years was only 1500..).but acty we did plan.it wasnt an impulsive decision.we decided we cld save on the prizes since we cld find sponsors for almost FREE.only the psp was bought with cash.and sok shin won it.okay,anw,the treasureres know that a period of tym we lacked of money was NOT becos of the 2200.so in the prep,we were busy,sick and tired,maglined,scolded,worried,blah..council put in a lot of hard work for this grad nite and we did it!
-PREPARATIONS ON THAT DAY ITSELF-
our first problem cropped up.the roses were late by 30 min.and it was aldy about 2pm.,and we still nided to package the 300roses(as we did order this quantity).and den when it finally came,we realised some were almost dead.omgosh.desprate,we nided water.so,we used the rubbish bin of the hotel room,stored it wif water and woosh all the roses into it.yes,everyone rushed and rushed,coz we only had lyk an hour or two to finish all 300 roses,and i still nided to do the reception table deco,and put every single roses on every single chair,and i nided to confirm wif the hotel manager,the vegetarians,the tables with 10 and more chairs blah blah blah.okay,when we were doing the roses,another problem cropped up.we were short of 30 or so roses.yes we were scammed by KATONG FLORIST.we ordered THREE HUNDERED ROSES and that was more than enuf,and she even confirmed tat der wld be MORE THAN THREE HUNDRED.in the end?not funny,we had to remove every single roses that we put on the chairs,and came out with the plan,only girls tak eth eroses at the reception.oohwah.spoiler no. 1.
next prob.the floor plan.jiayi and nic didnt receive the plan from nien yuan therefore only 2 days b4 the prom,dey took it from the hotel and did it.and den,jiayi cld only pass the plan to me on that day itself.HOWEVER,as the auspicious hour starts to approach,she was nowhere to be seen,and the plan was desprately nided for the reception to start.we were very worried,coz the entertainment company was v v punctual-and strict.yin gai de la for this price.btw,the floor plan indicates where the sec4s are sitting.spoiler no. 2.
next,the floor plan came.but we didnt noe how to read it!therefore,at the reception itself a lot of things cropped up.pple didnt noe which table they were assigned to and there was a longgg queue coz pple who signed in didnt want to go in,and der were pple who were confused.so,the programmes dragged by half and hour b4 everyone was seated and settled.PHEW!but i heard it was okay compared to last year when the reception dragged for near 2 hrs?=Dmade me feel better tho..lol.so that was spoiler no. 3.
but who says a good start is essential for success?
den the programmes zheng shi kai shi le!i was not present at the first part coz er..i was v guilty n sad bout the reception thingy.i didnt want to watch the prom.however,i noe tat i and jingyi(she accomapanying me,apparantly she didnt haf any feelings lol) were nided,so we still went back,in time to watch a part of the dance by some sec3s.from the part i saw,it was WHOA.good la.we were still v worried bout it coz some dancers only mastered the dance the day b4..and dance yupp a lot of prob cropped up.but phew!d dance was professional!they acty danced in HIGH HEELS.and is those thin thin heels can.wow.
next,i think was slucky draw 1.no comments,just winning.but the emcees and music were really good.
next,prom king queen intro.uhuh.emcees were v good at creating the atmosphere agn.
next,lucky draw no. 2.no comments,just some idiots nv go collect their prizes.all our prizes are v good u noe.canvassing rejected the lousy ones lyk eye drops.LOL.
next,promkingqueen item.err.all did couple thing,nth to comment.
next,lucky draw final.pple v high here le.coz the top few prizes v good de.got coca cola limited edition toaster(those usu found in movies),mp3s,blah blah,and of cos the top prize PLAY STATION PORTABLE.i tink they were expecting PS3.but owells how impossible is that.anw,we were all v v v surprised that SOKSHIN walked away with the PSP!our student council 38th president!so coincident la!
oh i rmbed the waiter walked past me with two steamed fish i tink on his tray.smells good man.btter than the macCHIKEN we ordered.owells.

prom ended perfectly with dance floor.*full of praises!*
conclusion : dont dont dare to take risks.coz greater success usu comes with greater risks but under wise decisions.
finally can fang xia a big stone and move on.
lastly,of cos must rmb to tank God,for the 2000 that popped out and for such an amazing prom.
